About Dr. Cash
Dr. Cash is the only female African American plastic surgeon in Houston and the entire state of Texas to be certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. These credentials, combined with her additional roles as wife and mother of three, active church and community member and partner in the new University General Hospital give Dr. Cash the background to connect with a wide variety of people. Her skills in communicating with her patients and understanding their needs drive the growth of her practice, which has largely been by word of mouth.
Raised in Baltimore, Dr. Cash began her educational career at Howard University in Washington, DC, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then relocated to Houston to attend Baylor College of Medicine. Having always enjoyed working with her hands, and, as she puts it, "doing," she knew right away she wanted to be a surgeon. During her plastic surgery rotation, Dr. Cash discovered she had found the right fit. She expresses it in terms of the perfect combinations plastic surgery embodies: artistry with medicine, fine details with the big picture, instant gratification with lasting change, new technologies with tried-and-true standards.
The majority of patients Dr. Cash sees in her Houston plastic surgery practice are women interested in procedures to enhance the breast and contour the body as well as reconstructive surgery. She looks forward to expanding her practice to include more male patients, she says, as more and more men realize they can benefit from plastic surgery just as women do. She has also added more non-invasive options to complement her treatment menu, such as BOTOX Cosmetic, wrinkle fillers and laser hair removal.
Even with a thriving private practice devoted to reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in Houston and an active family life, Dr. Cash finds time to devote to causes that are important to her. She is on the board of directors of the Sisters Network, Inc., a group that seeks to make reconstructive surgery more readily available to the underserved minority community. And she gives time to other Houston area organizations such as the Museum of Fine Arts.
Dr. Cash met her husband, Chris Lowe, while attending Baylor. The couple and their three children--Lauren, Kennedy, and Christopher--live in Houston, and Dr. Cash's parents now live in the area as well. Dr. Cash is very happy with her adopted community and says, "We're here to stay."

About Dr. Cash's Office
Dr. Camille Cash and her staff work together to offer patients seeking reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in Houston the best results and most pleasant experience possible. The practice functions very much as a team of interdependent professionals who support and respect each other. The result is an organization that's accessible and responsive to its Houston plastic surgery patients.
Dr. Cash's office, conveniently located in the heart of downtown at the intersection of St. Joseph Parkway and Austin streets, has been designed with visitor comfort in mind. The office has a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere where patients can feel welcome. "For us, this is our home away from home," Dr. Cash says. "We want our Houston plastic surgery patients to feel like they are our guests."
Surgical Facilities
Dr. Cash performs most of her surgical cases in one of two hospital settings, as well as several outpatient surgical centers. St. Joseph Medical Center, connected to Dr. Cash's downtown Houston plastic surgery office via crosswalk, is the oldest continually-operating hospital in the city (also the first, having opened in 1887). Though many Houstonians might first think of St. Joseph as the birthplace of many native Houstonians, Dr. Cash relates that the facility also has a long tradition of serving reconstructive and cosmetic surgery patients. Dr. Cash completed the majority of her general surgery and plastic surgery training at St. Joseph Medical Center. The Houston hospital has a highly qualified staff composed of OR and recovery room technicians, nurses and anesthesiologists who are specially trained in caring for plastic surgery patients. In addition, for those patients who require an overnight stay, St. Joseph Medical Center has a floor dedicated to plastic surgery patients.
Another facility where Dr. Cash performs her surgical procedures is University General Hospital. As a part of the Houston Medical Center it is one of the city's newest hospitals and is dedicated to excellence in all aspects of patient care. This state-of-the are hospital has united nationally recognized physicians and specialists known for their outstanding achievements and Dr. Cash is pleased to be one of University General Hospital's founding physician partners. The facility was designed to combine superb modern medical treatment while pampering patients and families with an inviting environment that encourages relaxation and healing.
Patient Testimonials
Excluding the extra 10 lbs that every woman wants to lose and the days where nothing you put on is quite good enough, I have generally always had a fairly healthy attitude about my body. I was genetically endowed with curves that I have not only accepted, but have grown to embrace. My breasts, however, never seemed to catch up with the rest of me After years of thinking and talking about it, I finally told my husband who always said, "But honey, I like the way are" I am doing this for me not you... and I did it, I called Dr. Cash. She not only understood what I wanted, but mantras the philosophy of enhancing yourself versus changing your self. That's when I knew, this was the doctor that would do my procedure.
Thank you, Dr. Cash for giving my body the natural balance that nature didn't.
PS. My husband thanks you too!
LH, age 32, transaxillary breast augmentation
Dr Cash,
From the moment I stepped into your office, you and your office staff (namely Norma) made me feel comfortable with this big step in my life. I always hated my tummy pouch and could never get rid of it -not even through healthy eating and exercise. I was referred to you by my girlfriend and I was impressed from the very first visit. Every step of the way, I knew that you were there for me -and that was a blessing in itself. I love my results and would recommend you to ANYONE AND EVERYONE. Thanks to you I stand more confident than ever!
P.S. I would never have shown my tummy before, but I am always doing so now (to anyone who wants to see the results).
M.G. , Katy, TX Abdominoplasty, age 29
After significant weight loss of 195 lbs. after gastric bypass surgery, I literally had no breast tissue to speak of, and, instead of looking like a 38 year old woman, I looked like I was a very old woman. I felt like I had lost much of my womanhood and my feminine curves. I hated the way I looked and really wanted to find a plastic surgeon that would help me attain as close to "normal" as possible. Normal didn't mean perfect ... normal meant a new beginning for me.
After meeting with five different board-certified plastic surgeons, I decided to rely and trust in the artistry and medical abilities of Dr. Cash. As a woman, she understood my desire to feel feminine again and to be curvy, but she also understood the concept that I didn't want my breasts to enter a room five minutes before I arrived. In addition to a bilateral mastopexy (double breast lift) with augmentation to restore fullness, I asked Dr. Cash to remove the excess skin on my sides near my rib cage and under my arms. The results have been amazing. My clothes fit like they should; I feel curvy, feminine, and I no longer fret about the excess skin rolling over my bra on the sides, which made me look bigger than I actually was.
I've also come to appreciate the benefits of BOTOX® and Juvéderm®. Dr. Cash has an amazing eye for detail and the products at her disposal have literally helped erase 10 years off my face. I love it the results! Dr. Cash is truly an artisan, healer and friend, all rolled into one very well-trusted physician.

Dr Cash-
My face looks better now at 32 years old than it did at 22 years old! The chemical peels and Obagi helped me to have the face that I see in magazines. I now have beautiful facial skin! Thank you so much!
God Bless-

Age 19, Breast Augmentation and Liposuction
Dr. Cash, my angel, has done a marvelous surgery on me and has helped me to overcome frustrations of physical appearance. I am so appreciative of Ebony Magazine for spotlighting women of color in the Plastic Surgery – Board Certified and I am forever grateful to have met a beautiful and warm individual,
S.J.
Dear Dr. Cash,
I would like to thank you so very much for your wonderful work. I never realized my breasts could be "perfect". Looking at them shows me the possibilities for the rest of my body. Having always been plump, I realized little the possibilities for "perfection" if only I put forth the effort in other parts of my physical and emotional life. Additionally, I would like to thank your staff. They are always so kind and informative.
